Aboriginal Culture Talks
Using stories of my people in conjunction with my collection of Aboriginal artefacts, PowerPoint presentations and the didgeridoo, I try to bring a new light on Aboriginal Culture. One that is both informative and entertaining.
I have a large collection of Artefacts that participants can both touch and hold., within the talk starting with acknowledgement of country and elders of that area.

Going through and explaining what they are, what there made from and what they were used from passing them out as we move along. (you can have a look at some on this web site)
As the life of our people slowly takes shape we can move to hunting techniques and bush food. Now comes the didgeridoo explaining where it comes from and how “termites” eat the hole in the middle.
This gives a platform to illustrate how relationships with the land and animals are born and by noticing what’s around us we can improve our own lives including school.
Encouragement is given to really see what is around us and how we can benefit from its use.
telling a few jokes and having a laugh, this takes about half hour to an hour and can be done for large numbers of people at once (school parade or Auditorium) though for large numbers it’s not viable to pass the artefacts out.
For specialist talks, a Fire making demonstration and PowerPoint presentation is available on request, and can cover Aboriginal Art with its symbols and meanings, Aboriginal Dance, cooking methods including boiling water and Bush Foods.
Prices start from $180.00
